I've been a member over there about three years and thus far, have had no trouble. I don't suffer fools gladly or pretend Marlin is the only good lever action, so my days may be numbered.

I've used flake & IMR powders quite a bit and my best top end rifle loads are still fueled by H4895. But ball powders meter much more consistently through my old Hornady Deluxe and I use them almost exclusively for handgun loads.

I've used thousands of Bear Creek bullets. I'll second their proprietary coating being the best I have used. I'm currently loading their 180 grain 40 caliber SWC (scales about 184) to 1065 fps in a Springfield XDM and getting 50 yard groups like this; and yes, I'll eat the flier. https://www.thesixg...

Yes sir and if you run them at target wadcutter speeds, they can leave that little half jacket halfway down the bore while the lead continues on to fool you by poking a hole in the target.

I bought a very light, liner-lock pocket knife at the outdoor market last summer. It looked to have decent steel and a very 'work friendly' checkered handle. It did have a little bend in the last 3/16" of the point but that's an easy fix. The blade was marked AUS8-II and 'Randall's Adventure Tr...

I went decades w/o an AR and never felt like I was missing anything. I picked up a nice Armalite HBAR a few years ago; decent trigger and very accurate. I've had fun with lever actions in revolver calibers but they aren't very practical in open country. The 30-30, 35 Remington and a few others are usable with a 200 yard zero, provided you only use one load and pick your shots. My old 35 is on at 325, at the 3rd step of the rear sight elevator.
