When I worked for Westley Richards there was a bolt action rifle unfinished and in the white gathering dust in a corner, it was a .600 nitro express that someone had ordered and apparently found the recoil unacceptable. I can't remember what it weighed or what happened to it.

Recently I have been watching YouTube videos of old ghost towns and mines, seems unfair that these old buildings are just rotting away when as a fully qualified old geezer with antisocial tendencies and a shotgun, I would feel at home in such a place and could keep the spray can artists away too.......

I watch a lot of YouTube videos on historical re-enacting, it is a great way to learn just how our forefathers survived... I'm too old and spoiled by modern living now, I doubt I would last a day in the 17th or 18th century.

A few years ago I accidentally stumbled on a real old fashioned pub, it was so good I took my son there to show him what pubs should look like, I even took my boss who I knew appreciated such things.
