I was once offered a 1849 Colt 6" barrel. The guy thought it was a 51 Navy. I said I did not have the cash for an antique Colt at that time.

Personally I find that type of air rifle a pain in the butt. If I have to use an air gun I prefer the single shot break barrel type. My son uses a Webley .177 and it's deadly on rabbits, squirrels and crows. I use a .22 BSA but it does not have the quality of the old BSAs. If I need low power repeat...

I don't have a 66 but I have a 73 Carbine it dates back to the mid 70s and has a butt plate trap door for the cleaning rods and it has the correct sights. Yes but the Ruger 96 would be COOL, they could probably use the same mag as the model 77/22 Hornet and it would be a lot cheaper than the excellent No1. :wink:

I'd go for the 12gauge, good for squirrel or bear and anything in between, the ammo can be bought anywhere so you don't have to carry too many heavy boxes of shells.

I don't have a photo but I still have the gun my dad gave when I was four. it's a single shot BB levergun.
He got it from his brother who bought it in the USA during the first world war. It was made in Plymouth. Mich. but I can't read the maker's name or Model. :)
