Nice job. I have an 1892 of about that date - not sure because it was hunted so hard that the last two serial number numerals are worn off. A previous owner converted it to .357 mag with 20 inch Douglas barrel and Bishop stocks so it make a good mate for my .357 revolver. https://www.jpgbox.com/jpg/...

Why all the interest in the 32-20 pistol cartridge?
I somehow passed through my avid handgun collecting and shooting phase without ever seeing or shooting a 32-20. ????
I just settled on .357 mag and 44 mag revolvers and matching rifles, and 9mm for auto.

Scott, Your Javelina story reminds me of an experience I had down near the Pecos River. It seems the tires on my old Scout II were OK in town and on a good highway ...

For Sixgun or any pistol smiths that know the Model 39 and can answer my question. I am asking because I have two auto loaders that have this feature and it looks to be a simple mechanism. Another plus, is that when driving around the ranch, the gun is free to draw - moreso than if carried strong side. This is true for right handed shooters.
Years ago, I bought a cross draw for my .44 mag just for driving on our hunting lease- worked out well.
