Re: Puma accuracy and magazine tube

Two years ago, past tense, I owned an Emf short rifle (rossi) 44 rem 92. From day one with factory rnds the mag tub would edge forward from recoil. Fire 5 rnds use a mallet to reseat the tube, tighten the mag cap screw and fire some more and use the mallet again et al. Emf said they hadn't seen any...

Re: Rossi 92 safety removal.

The F am S are stamped in the bolt. Dip a tooth pick in some Mineral spirits and scratch the
red and green colors off. That easy!

Rossi-USA Model 92's

Has any one had any experience with the "new" Rossi's M92s? Am the owner of a Puma and the EMF Rossi's but am ordering a 20" short rifle .377/38 from Rossi-USA and am looking for input. I know I'll have to replace that darn bolt safety. Maybe NKJ has some direct knowledge of the new ...

Hobie, you stirred the memory of this old lever gunner, My Mother gave me "IF" as a graduation guide 50 years ago when I graduated from high school. Thanks for the memories. I still have the copy.

(or these old eyes missed it), Will you repost it, is that possible. I should have downloaded it when it was there. Thanks, in advanc...

AJMD.........Thanks for the reply, It is a standard Rossi 92, the magazine tube slides into the frame. The recoil is causing it to back out, after about 3 to 5 rnds the tube is sticking out about 1/2" in front of the barrel. I wack it back in (a technical term), tighten the cap screws and the m...

Rossi difficulty, ........Help Steve

Have a Legacy Rossi 44 rem mag. 20" short rifle and it shoots the mag tube loose after three to five rounds. Constantly, repeatedly, time after time. I force the mag tube back in retighten everything I can and it still does it. It was purchased new in October and have maybe 40 rounds down the p...

Bigger game go with the 1895.
Leve my Marlin 94 .357CB and my Rossi 16" 92 .357, the Rossi is handier, Can"t make a choice, guess I'll have to get a 44.

Just chimin in with my appreciation

Steve, of all the levergun info videos (AGI and Larry Crow), they are all informative, but yours is the most informative for the shade tree smithy. I've learned some of your short cuts that make the disassembly , reassembly and the maintenance of the 1892 easier. Now do your magic with the Marlin 1...

Looking at the FEB/March issue of Petersen's Hunting. p35; NEW for 2008, Mossbergs model 464 .30-.30 leveraction, top-eject. Carbine (short rifle)length. It snuck up stealthily on me. Any other info.

Merry Christmas..........to me

:D Sorry, just have to crow a little. Just got a new Marlin (remington?) 1894 CB .357. Given to me on Christmas eve prior to the grand kids coming over, stayed up late with Santa checking it out. Love the octagon barrel, have one a Rossi 44mag. The furniture is solid and good looking. Took it to the...

gak,...Thanks for the input

I,m leaning towards the 20" oct. barrel and was wondering if the 20" was enough to counter-act my flinch with the 44, at least I anticipate the recoil on a 44 hand gun. My .357s do not bother me at all, even the Buffalo bores.

Barrel length .44 magnum Rossi?

Opinions on optimum barrel length on Rossi M 92 rifle, 20" or 24"? Have a 16" in .357 but I think the big rocks need more stability (?).

Your opinions, advice will be appreciated.
Thanks...........Ken

Very interesting! Early 20th century photo-shop, negative super imposed over another negative to add interest and a story line. My great grandmother had several of this type. Love the history though.
