Actually, I was serious. I'm pretty sure the arrow of light badge gets transfered to the uniform shirt. Above the left pocket, I think. I was thinking there was something else that transfered to the uniform or sash as well.

Puny? Naw. The smaller one did go back in the hole but the bigger one is huge by bluegill standards. When I fish for dinner, I don't throw anything but the smallest back until I feel the fishing is going good enough to cull. It's good to take small ones from a pond as well as big ones for the health...

Another question that should have come to mind earlier. Were there any rounds being head stamped prior to 1886. In the 1879 catalog picture it shows all seven rounds that Winchester was making at that point. I never noticed before but none appear to have a head stamp.

It's interesting about Thomas the Train. To a Train collector, it is a silly looking toy. To a 4 or 5 year old, it is the beginning to the continuation of our hobby. The ones playing with Thomas today will be the train collectors of tomorrow. Better get those "L" word trains going for him....
