Re: any 4Runners onboard?

Never had a Toyota V6 as my SR5 4x4 was the 22R 4 cylinder version. Owned mine for 25 years, and only had 135,000 miles when I sold it. Never a problem with the truck, except for alternators and regulators. Seemed to eat those pretty regularly, and never got more than a couple years from them. I bou...

I've owned a couple in .38-56 on old Marlin 1895's. I love the cartridge, although I don't own one currently. My dies are C&H4D and they're the most reasonably priced dies around these days. You can buy magazine tubing in various lengths, and then drill the various holes to fit any gun, and cut to exact length. Redman's liners used to sell bare mag tubes and also blued.

The Savage 101 is hardly a revolver. It just has that look, but is a single shot handgun. I've had one of these 101's for decades, and rarely shoot it. Not even sure why I've kept it, but I think it was for my kids to learn on, and they're all in their late 40's or early 50's now.

No reason your Lyman #2 shouldn't work well in the .38-40 also. If you slug the bore and have bullets that properly fit it, you don't need softer lead to bump up to fit the bore. I try to size all my bullets .001"-.002" over groove diameter, which seems to eliminate leading issues.
