1x2: According to the New Haven Arms Co. 1865 Catalog, the Henry rifle weighed 9.81 pounds. According to the digital fishing scale I use to weigh out lead when I cast bullets, my own Uberti made 44-40 Henry weighs 9 pounds 6 ounces. As far as the Henry name goes, there never was a historical Henry r...

Howdy As a very new member of this forum I am probably risking offending a lot of veterans here, but I will tell you exactly why I don't own any products of the Henry Repeating Arms company, and why I never will. Their advertising is full of deception. The Henry Repeating Arms Company has absolutely...

Yes, you are correct, Benjamin Tyler Henry. B. T. Henry, not B. F. Henry. Sorry for the error, I must have been thinking about Ben Franklin. Henry was originally the shop superintendant for the Volcanic company. Winchester wisely decided to keep him on. When the patents were issued for the rifles, t...

Howdy
Marlin makes several versions of the Model 1894 chambered for .357 Magnum. One is the Model 1894C, a very handy little carbine. They make some Cowboy versions of the 1894 chambered for 357 Magnum too.

Howdy Regarding the 'Henry Repeating Arms' company of the 19th Century: Oliver Winchester and B. F. Henry had a falling out around 1865 or so, mostly over money. There seems to be some evidence that while Winchester was taking a grand tour of Europe during a well earned vacation, Henry went to the C...

Howdy Boys This is my first post here, I couldn't pass this one up. I dunno what you boys consider to be the '3 standard pistol calibers (357,44,45lc)' but I can tell you that for me, it would be 44-40, loaded with Black Powder. I have a Winchester Model 1892, made in 1894, a Marlin Model 1894, made...
