Are you here for the simple pleasure of causing others stress? This is a website about leverguns and everyone talks like they are around a campfire about guns, politics, or whatever the latest buzz is we may think anyone might want to comment about. We all know that along with the culture of guns, h...

Problem is, you never know what number THEY are putting into the equation. We all know the anti's will stretch it one way, so it only goes without saying that the pro's will stretch it the other. (just cuz I like it doesn't mean it's right) A nice list of the FACTS would be a wonderful thing. Please...

I hear you there. Funny thing is, I took the usual battery of tests when I went into the service. I had a GT of 130, well scores ranging from 126 to 132. But I'll be darned if it doesn't take me 3 or 4 proof readings of my posts to make sure I'm actually saying what I'm trying to say. Sometimes havi...

Man I loved the ham and eggs from the c-rats! Ah the memories :D Ron With me being from the MRE generation '86-'90 I dont know what c-rats were like, but on the seldom occasion that they would fly or truck out a hot meal while in the field I really loved the scrambled eggs, green or not. If ya go t...

It could just be me, but it seems as though we are talking about discounting peoples view on things if they can't form a proper paragraph or if they speak from their hearts more than their minds. I know the more knowledge you have the better off you are. Some people are not intellectually on par or ...

I just came from the Ben Stein movie thread and now I understand the gist of this thread a bit more, I'm not jumping into that other thread, I wouldn't be any help but to look like an uninformed follower. Good powder for H&R 45-70 and 500 grain solids???
A couple years ago I got some 500 grain meister bullets, well, because they just called out to me. Since then I had sold my Guide Gun (shameless I know) but I just picked up this H&R 45-70 and still have some Leverevolutions and Corbons to stuff down the pipe. http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/...

Kind of a Murphy's law type thing. If it fits in there and is meant to be there, eventually it's going to get there by accident. Every gun in my safe is put there UNLOADED. When they come out of the safe they have the action cycled to make sure they are empty. Why? Because given enough time someday ...

Don't forget that just opening the door is an invite to probable cause. If you refuse entrance yet the LEO sees, smells, hears something or in the case of DC imagines something your house will be ransacked without amnesty. Can you cite any example to support these statements? I'm always curious whe...

I'm going to have to say that this backs up the penetration tests that say high velocity is counter productive for penetration. I've read an awful lot about .458 mag guys getting pretty torqued when a 45-70 man says he can out penetrate them. But still with the difference between lead and the steel ...
