I was up in Atwood today to see my new employers and do some ordering. They asked me what I was doing the first weekend in February. In my mind, I was saying SHOT Show!! I use gunbroker more for research than anything else. I have some favorite searches such as S$W Model 58, Ruger .41 blackhawk, Ruger .40 vaquero and some others. I check then at least once a day to see what things that I am interested in are going for.

I shot this one with my .45 Colt Winchester with 300gr hard cast at 100yds. One shot kill, complete penetration. You shouldn't have much problem with heavy ammo on up to Moose and some bears.

I shoot Cast Performance 420gr WFNGC bullets and they function fine. It really depends on the bullet shape. Pointed "Postel" bullets may not function through the action and they shouldn't be put in the magazine either. What kind of bullets are you talking about?

I know for a fact that Winchester did not serial number all of their guns. I own a 90% Winchester 67a boys rifle that does not have one. I will go out on a limb here and say that all centerfire rifles did have a number.

I have one for a .22 cal. I really like it but you can do a lot more scrubbing action with a Dewey coated cleaning rod. They are mainly for light cleaning and carrying with you in the field. I would like to get more of them.
