I have loaded a S&W 24 from about 750 - 1150 fps with good results. A wide range of pistol and shotgun powders work well. Manuals can be quite conservative I suppose in deference to older guns.

They have “been better” for some time judging by the couple I own.

This Flat top is pretty accurate. Changed the point of aim after the first shot to put it in the black.

Most accurate I have shot was a SBH that would clover leaf at this range, indoor range max 50’.

This 45 had the correct cylinder throat dimensions from the factory.

Shot a bit loose on the bolt guide rails on the one I saw.
