Re: You see gun stuff in the oddest places...

It seems a shame to me that we in the USA cannot preserve our old buildings. When in the Army in Europe my family toured buildings five hundred and more years old which are still in use. Surely someone could find a use for these old buildings. Newer and bigger is not always better.

Big Bear, you might think about a Marbels folding rear in place of the standard rear sight. Some guys zero the folding rear for 55 or 60 yards and the tang for 125 to 150 yards and they say they are good to 200+.

Great lead shooter and strong enough make your shoulder cry if you want to load that way. I prefer to use high-end 38-55 load data myself.

If you get that rifle, remove the left cartridge guide from it and file a bevel on the rear end. My rifle broke four ejectors before I finally got it figured out.
My rifle does not like to be babied when I cycle the action. It wants me to get the empty out and another in and do it like I mean it.

Midway and Brownells (also others) sell the Williams 5D-94SE Receiver Sight for about $35.00. I have never been very good with a standard open sight on any rifle but the Williams Sight helps me a lot. The above sight fits the rear scope mount holes already on your 94AE.
