I've been traveling this road myself for the Marlin 1894 Cowboy. So far, I haven't gotten any favorites, but I have in the back of my mind the NOE 360-160-WFN might be the ticket for an all around bullet. I haven't picked one up yet, as I'm still messing with my Lee SWC bullets. So far, they feed we...

I don't have any experience with them, but I hear tell Wyoming Armory does 50 Conversions, so they might be a place to look.

Best get on the Starline backorder for 50-110 brass.

I'm going to make a trip to visit a friend in Northern California. He's in Humbolt County in McKinleyville. Any of our members here in that area or close? I'd love to meet and do a little shooting or talk guns.

Re: can a 348 win 71 be rebarrelled to 50 alaskan

The 50-110 is the parent cartridge for the 348 Winchester, and is about 3/8 longer than the 50AK. It was a popular conversion some years back. I've never had one made up, though I'm considering a 50-110, since a buddy has one. If I recall correctly, back when Harold Johnson was tinkering on the 50 A...

I don't do a deep cleaning normally. I wipe the soot out of the action with a patch wetted with CLP for leverguns and remove the cylinder and wipe the soot from the frame and cylinder for a sixgun.
