What are you guys finding to be the most accurate bullet in your 92s with the 30 twist.
Cast or jacketed bullets?. And at what muzzle velocity are you running. I'm still trying to get a good load for deer hunting. No doubt it will be close range. Thanks for your advice or suggestions.. Johnny p

I've tried a few loads in my Rossi 92.
The 38-44 with 170 gr 358429 cast bullets.
12 gr of 2400. About 1500 fps. Accuracy at 50 yards is close to 3 inches.
I think this will be a great deer load at 50 to maybe 70 yards. Any thoughts on this??

Guess I'll just have to try them. My aim is like 50 to 75 yards . Have 100 ordered..thanks..

I just enjoy the 38/44 so much. It's a real pleasure to shoot out of my s&w 686. Accurate at 50 yards the farthest I have tried. I appreciate your reply. I will be loading up a few 358156 and 358429.. johnny. If it warms up some.

Them 38+p will kill a deer easily at 50 yards. Use a good bullet and practice a lot to put that bullet in the boiler room... Pay no attention to what others say. They never did it.. so you be the first...

Today tried some 160 swc with gas checks. I call them 160 as that what they weigh with my soft alloy. 158s. I'm only trying for 50 yards which is going to be my set limit with this 92 Rossi.
