The lever may be rusty because the originals are curved for a pistol grip stock. That one may be from a different gun or has been reshaped.
I have a like- new 65 Browning 218 Bee and it shoots better than me.

I was at a gun show today and they had some Remington factory 32-20 for $120 per box! I am glad I am able to handload for my 32-20.

I always wondered how a 7mm-338ME would perform? Ted, I worked up loads in my .444 with RL7 and IMR 4198, and did not find much difference in the groups. May have been a slight
edge for the RL7. If you are completely out you might try it.
