Re: Range day with the 44 magnums
I use 23 gr. of IMR4227 in my Winchester 94 and the H110 load in my B 92 Browning. But my knuckle busting Dragoon trigger guard on the Super Blackhawk not so much, I found a good plinker with my cast Lee 429-200 rf and 10 grain of Unique and it is pretty accurate. Range day with the 44 magnums
I done a little bullet comparison to today between the 240 grain Hornady XTP and the Everglades (Zero) bullets. I was shooting a Winchester 94 Trapper, a Browning B92 20" and 1 Super Blackhawk 7 1/2". I have read where SAMMI for rifle barrels is .430-.431 and revolvers is .429, so I wanted...

I second what Walt is referring to. My RIA 1911 does not have much of a throat. I have been casting some 200 lrfn bullets that the nose is too fat and they don’t pass the “kaplunk” test in the barrel.

Thanks for the suggestion, JMick. I may have to try it. A short search says it's a flour corn, but that does not mean it don't taste good. I don't like real sweet corn anyway.

Ray, that was a bummer! Some varieties just will not come back true, especially hybrids. I have heard that planting cucumbers close to cantaloupe will cause the
cantaloupe to taste like cucumber.
Thanks for the heads-up.

Gun Broker and Guns International would be a good place to start. If you have some really rare premium firearms, it may be a good idea to find an appraiser

My new "Go to" penetrating oil is "Free All" . It can be purchased at O' Reillys Auto Parts Stores around here. It will get carbon out of a rifle bore like none other
that I have tried. That being said, I have never tried Kroil so I can't compare.

I like my Lyman 450. Each brand will have its own minor learning curve so not sure what translates to the Lachmiller machine. But once you get it figured out it runs smooth.
