Re: Adjusting front sight on my Marlin M1895 Cowboy 45/70
Looks much better. You may find that it is too far left shooting at longer ranges. But if you are going to try another bullet or load
I wouldn't fine tune it until you get "the load" settled.
Those Marlin Cowboys are nice looking rifles.

POF Tombstone Lever Carbine
I just read in the latest Rifle magazine, about the POF Tombstone 9 mm lever carbine.
It would be interesting if it was more accurate. The test groups of 3- 3.5” @ 25 yds. and
6-8” @ 50 is not very appealing to me. Anyone on here own one?

I am very Lucky to have a state park three miles away with an Archery Range with 10 big targets , elevated gravel paths to the targets so you never walk in the mud. 10-50 yards. This summer people started leaving trash, some A-hole was shooting an air rifle and left his targets laying around. I pic...

There is a free public Forest Service shooting range about 30 some miles from my home. I loaded up 2 44 mag carbines and a Super Black Hawk revolver to go and try out a load someone on here liked ( 22 grain IMR 4227 under a 240 grain XTP). I drove up and the gates were locked with a sign that said &...

Nice rifles everyone. I have read many stories on the net about so many different size bores and chambers.
