Re: Colt Trooper (Original, not Mk iii)
Thanks guys! In reference to the gunsmith comment, I only know of 2 places to have a Colt worked on. One is Cylinder and Slide, which Colt will refer you too. They apparently do great work but the wait time is like 5-6 months. Frank Glenn is who I have used. He's out in Arizona and doesn't seem to b...

Since I realized a short while back Marlin had a custom shop, I've been wondering exactly what all they'll do. Anybody have any experience with them? Is $795.00 for a Marlin 1894cl in 85-90% (maybe better) condition an okay price, good price, or a steal? It's a Ducks Unlimited edition, but the only way you'd know that is because of a DU medallion about the size of a .50 cent piece embedded in the butt stock. Sweet little rifle it seems like. I mi...

I'm pretty sure this has come up on here before and the gist of it has something to do with the fact that there is no SAAMI spec for the 45-90 so that was put on the rifle as a CYA type thing. I can't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure it is really meaningless. I'm sure shortly somebody will be al...

I've been wanting a Colt double action for a while, and went in the local gun store today and thought I had found the one. After reading the Wyoming suggestion earlier I did some reading. Pretty interesting, learn something every day.

I know where there is a Parker Trojan grade sxs 12 ga for $499. It is a 12 gauge. Further, most of the screw...

Fire sprinklers don't use batteries unless you mean the alarm system. Those are usually 12v but vary in mAH. Doc, if you're using 6 C-cells in series that should be 9 volts. Check to make sure your camera can take 12v before hooking up to it without a step-down transformer (which will reduce effici...
