Marlin / Ruger factory visit

While we were in the Carolinas filming a video “Craft of the Levergun” we had a chance to stop by the Mayodan Ruger plant and see how the sausage is made.

Very impressive all the way around.

Here’s a few photos:

Re: My new Marlin/Ruger Classic .44 Mag

My dealer got the first one in from his distributor. He showed it to me yesterday and I foolishly walked out without it. Quoted me a price of only $1,000 which I thought was great. Did not sleep last night especially after seeing the crooks on GunBroker and other sites for prices from $1,250 to $1,...

Check with Lee Hadaway at the Armsroom.com

Highly recommended.

Hope that helps!

Lever Light rails

Some thoughts from Andy There are very few things you can hang on a Lever Gun that make it more useful. A stock lever action rifle is about as slim, sleek, svelt, and useful as it can be. Smooth lines, no protrusions, nothing to hang up, goes in and out of a scabbard or case, use around the easily, ...

I believe the Rossi quality has come up quite a bit over the past few years. For the price point, (around $700) these are pretty good. Picked this one up the other day to add to our test battery.
