Re: Remington Bulk 22- interesting find

I have to agree about the Remington .22 ammo, it's junk. I have not had any issues with Federal bulk however, as mentioned above, and I have a lot of it a nd have shot a lot of it. My favorite continues to be CCI mini-mags, and CCI SV in my S&W model 41. I also have several .22 caliber S&W r...

Re: The Browning Lever Action Rifle (BLR) By: Bruce Hamlin

Bruce & Hobie, Thanks for a great article. Very informative! I own quite a few Brownings, including a lever, a 92 in 44 mag. Not a BLR, but it's still one of my favorites! I have a question related to the article. Under stock repair lemon pledge or, "something similar" is recommended f...

Re: B92 44 Mag

I have one with a tang sight on it that makes it very easy to shoot accurately. It does kick a bit off the bench, but I don't think I'll even notice it when hunting. I use Buffalo Bore 300's in mine.

Re: huh? new marlin model? ha!

Congratulations! Very good buy IMO. The cross bolt safety started in 1988. I have a 1988 39AS 24". It shoots real good, and the safety really isn't a bother unless you forget it on. Don't ask me how I know that. I swear that squirrel has nine lives! Anywho, please post some more pics once you g...

Re: OT - Which .22 double-action revovler?

For target use I would stick with a 6" barrel, or longer like a 8 3/8 if you can find one. Either way, IMO the S&W K-22 is at the top of the list. Very close behind has to be the Dan Wesson. I have one with a 8" and a 4" barrel and tools. It's as accurate as any of the K-22s I hav...

Nice lineup. I been looking for a Mountie myself. I have 3 39As and a 39D. Need the Mountie to round out the collection. I figure even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile, so my day will come.

Everytime I shoot them or handle them they get cleaned. Otherwise, at least once a year.
