There are a few places where there's cell phone service. I suspect that line of sight at the higher spots is where it's most frequent. My typical riding distance is about 30 miles and occasionally I'm surprised by suddenly having service. But, within yards it will just as suddenly be gone.

My only two mountain guns. The Smith model 25 in .45 Colt on the right is actually my only true mountain gun. The Smith 624 in .44 special on the left has a slim barrel profile like mountain guns but is really only a standard model.

Before you apply the LocTite, tighten down the screw and make sure the ejector rod housing isn't loose. If it is, shorten the screw slightly, check it and then do the Loctite.

You are correct. The flat tops that are not Bisleys use the pre-1973 grip frame, the XR-3 which is shorter and has a different profile than the later New Model Blackhawks. Also, the grip frames on the flat tops are all-steel rather than alloy.
