I never even thought of using a shellholder in a kinetic bullet puller rather than the collet. What a pain to insert a large caliber cartridge loaded with a semi wadcutter into a collet!
Thanks for the tip, guys!

Speaking of the decline in reading printed material, as I walk around my neighborhood I notice that newspapers are getting smaller and smaller, based on what I see rolled up in driveways. They are a mere shadow of what they were 20 years ago. It's a wonder that the local newspaper is even in busines...

Regarding that loose dovetail.... My shooting buddy ordered a Smith model 629 Stealth Hunter from their custom shop and the front sight came loose. I shoot mostly pistol calibers and I use two Dillon 550s, one for small primers and the other for large, to load them. I do use my Rockchucker periodically. I really like the Dillon 550s for ease of changing calibers and for their fine customer service.

My wife wanted me to buy a generator to run the house in case of a power outage so I bought a 13,000 watt unit despite the fact that we very rarely have outages and when we do, the power is usually back on in less than an hour. Although almost all my revolvers and lever actions have adjustable sights, I tend to move them only when I'm changing loads. Here in NM we used to have gun shows at the state fairgrounds but our ultra-left governor declared that no further gun transactions will be done in state-owned buildings. She seems to think that notoriety will get her somewhere. Maybe someday she'll advance to being a WallyWorld greeter.

Be sure that if you take your shotgun, you keep it tied to yourself with a short lanyard. That way if you're distracted by all the pain meds and the constant bzzzzzing of the drill, the dentist doesn't try to wrestle it from you.

The sights were the original adjustable rear and ramp front sights shooting at a white 12" steel gong at 100 yards. BTW, a 19th century American sportsman named E.E. Patridge invented the squared-off Patridge front sight and flat-bottom square rear sight.

In the late 70s and early 80s I shot a lot. My most accurate Ruger was a stainless 7 1/2" SBH which surprised me on a number of occasions with 5 shot sub 4" groups off hand at 100 yards. I owned a lot fewer guns at that time which was likely a contributing factor.
