Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect
I remember as a kid living in beautiful Lincoln County in central NM we had some really cold nights including one at -29°, no wind chill considered. I've never been around anything that cold since then.

Speaking of the "big storm", it's been spitting snow all morning with very little to show for it, like a half inch. I have a friend in Arkansas whose weather is waay worse than ours and our daughter in Oklahoma City is getting slammed with snow as well as wind chill factors at ten below. A...

I have an old AR SP-1 (triangular fore end) which shoots well but the truth is that when picking a long gun in my locker to shoot, it would probably be the last I'd choose.

Re: I think I'd trade an AR-15 for one of these
My shooting partner had a Henry Long Ranger in .243. We tried all sorts of stuff to get it to shoot better, various loads and bullet weights, checking the barrel channel clearance but nothing really improved it so he sold it. He also didn't like the rack and pinion action, preferring Marlins or othe...

I have Ruger's latest .41 mag which I bought a year ago. It's a mid-frame, flat top Bisley with 5 1/2" barrel in stainless. I have had an issue with it that seems to be wearing in as I use it. The cylinder was hanging up at a point in its rotation where I had to rotate it by hand to shoot it. O...

Happily, my wife's surgery to repair her shoulder is this coming Friday. We're both looking forward to having it over with.

Malamute is exactly right. Take a good file with you to the range, make your file strokes as you shoot and when you're very close, take it home, put it in a vise and use a fine file to square the top of the sight. Make sure the rear of the sight is taller than the remainder, clean it up and cold blu...

In shooting 9mm CCW practice rounds, I think the priority is in developing or maintaining form and muscle memory. The inexpensive Lee case trimmer would work well (you can use just a hand held drill for that). When I began loading for my .30 Herrett I used a Dremel tool cutoff wheel with which I cut the necks long, then used either a Lee case trimmer or my Forster case trimmer to do the final trim.

I no lomger use the Lee Factory Crimp Die on oversized bullets. I frequently size cast bullets for my SAAs to .453" diameter and the FCD pushes them down into the case.
