Re: Chairmen of the Politically Incorrect

I remember visiting a classmate in the 7th or 8th grade who had a Mr Potato Head game. He dug it out of his closet for the first time in what must have been months. It was rank enough to gag a maggot.

Thank you for that, Six! About a year ago I was driving in town on a major street and a completely nude white woman walked out across the road in front of me and sat down in the median. It hurt my eyes so I called 911 and listened while the dispatcher talked to a responding cop who said they were fa...

Yeah, I looked into getting one from Brownells but as you say, they're sold out. I did put my name on the list though for notification when they're available again.

Battle of Adobe Walls

A month or two ago there had been some posts regarding the Battle of Adobe Walls.

I just received my copy of American Handgunner which contains a Massad Ayoob article examining the lessons learned from that battle.

Re: I shot my new SAA

I bought a used .44 spl Colt NF maybe 7 or 8 years ago and it shot way to the left so the rear sight was cranked all the way over to the right. That irked me and I took it to a gunsmith who refused to turn the barrel for me, afraid he would scratch it. I ended up trading that gun and a Thunder Ranch...

I have several of the Kuhnhausen books. I'll check and see if I have the one for Colt SAAs. I have about 15 Blackhawks and SBHs and I've put either Bisley or SBH hammers in all of them. I lower the cocking notches of the new hammers down to .012, measured with a feeler gauge and it eliminates all of...

I shot my new SAA

Yesterday was a reasonably nice day here so I took my new (to me) SAA in .45 Colt out. Born date is 1999, it appears unfired. I took a couple of loads out; Lyman 452190 250 gr RNFP over 8 gr of Unique and RCBS 45-255 SWC over 10.4 gr of AA-5. I had both bullets sized to .4535 and although they dropp...

I have been rereading H. G. Wells' trilogy recently; The War of the Worlds, The Invisible Man and The Time Machine were all written in the late 1800s and give what I imagine is a very accurate, certainly intriguing picture of England at the time.

Old No 7, that's a very useful kit. I've had that one from Brownells for years also. I think the kit came with 11° as well as 18° reamers and lapping cones. I added a 5° reamer and cone to mine for a super smooth forcing cone.
