Between my wife and I, I believe we have eight 1911 Kimbers. I have two of the Longslide Target model versions, one in .45ACP and the other 10mm. No problems with any of them, except with the 10mm. I use a .44 special load I developed about 30 years ago using a 295-grain cast with AA#9 powder with no pressure signs. The bullet was too long for my Colt Anacondas in a magnum case, so I changed to the shorter version. Velocity is 1050 from 4" to 4 5/8" barrels and 1350 from rifles. Accu...
