Re: Here We Go Again

Having one of the short shotguns like the Shockwave and your EDC gun will suffice in most cases. An AR pistol will give you more rounds and distance. Neither is wrong, just different tools. Remember, you're also driving a 3000lb battering ram, so that long skinny pedal on the right is your best frie...

We made it to Spicewood,TX for my FILs 80th birthday parry tomorrow. Wish I had time to see some of the folks here, but I'd like to at least visit a couple of gunshops and museums before we leave Tueaday. I don't mean to offend or upset anyone, but the whole 'lost my guns in a boating accident, hehehe' thing has run its course. Some might think it's cute, but we should be talking proudly about firearms ownership, not how we 'accidentally' lost them.

Re: If you were going to live in Alaska for a year or two...

I'd probably go with the 454. I'd pair it with a revolver in the same caliber, so I could use a couple of different bullet molds and keep them running. Along with the obligatory 12 gauge loaded with slugs or buckshot and a .22 rifle, I'd think all bases would be covered. However, I say all this as a...

Seeing how popular the .30-30 was during the Mexican Revolution, something like this would've come in handy. Probably would be popular on the border today, depending on what you were expecting to run into.
