Savage 99 243

What do you think of the Savage 99 in 243?
"99C Series A" marked barrel, what does that mean?

I could use it as a nice light deer gun for my niece
or shoot yotes with it.

The local shop had one for $699. I don't think it's there anymore. It was a nice gun. A BLR in 243 is a little shorter with 20 inch barrel verse a 22. Both are great guns.

Friend Ron who owns the gunshop here took one on antelope trips as a back up and for his son in law to use. It was quite accurate. I saw him shoot inch groups with it. Good choice for So Cal hunting.
