OT - How to build a deer stand

When we had our old deer camp on the eastern shore of Maryland it was legal to bait on private property . So we got some big old shiny galvanized garbage cans , cable , winches and broadcast feeders and made our own feeders .

With ours you could put them up , fill them and not need to bring corn again for a couple three weeks !

And when you needed to fill them , you cranked them down with the handcrank winch refilled and cranked them back up !

Oh yeah , and we never bothered to paint them ! The Sika deer never seemed alarmed by the bright silvery things hanging in the trees , and they were a darn sight easier to see in low light conditions

I agree they did a good job, but, they wasted a perfectly good trailer. I know, it's their trailer to use as they please, it's just irking.

That's Funny! The problem is that they can't crank up the stair case for when the women come looking for them. Otherwise it's a pretty good hunting shack.
