Enjoying the "Pitchy effect"

Post by Bill in Oregon »

Pitchy has only been back among us for a couple of days, and already his creativity has started the rusty gears turning in my old noggin.
Lenn, that leather stitching clam you made gave me an idea for what to do with this big oak stave: cut it at the middle, fit a base, taper the top ends and add a tensioning bolt. It would make a decent half clam that could be mounted on a small bench to make a quicky pony. Hmmm. 8)
I got about a dozen of these staves of miscellaneous widths from an online recycle outfit a while back. Tired of tripping over them, I have been attempting to put them to use. When you sand the inside surface of the curve, you can actually smell the red wine. I have to figure out legs for the little semi-oval end table top.
