Batteries (that leak) Suck…

Post by AJMD429 »

.
Lots of ruined flashlights over the years, and a few more expensive things…

At least some products have ‘isolated’ battery compartments.

An AA battery was on a shelf next to these rounds… :|

we unload batteries from radios and flashlights that aren't in daily use. cheaper than throwing ruined flashlights away.

Let me guess.....Duracell?
I won't allow them in my home. They used to be good, but over the last few years they have turned into the worst batteries you can buy. I've seen them leak before you even use them. Absolutely terrible.

I found out that when you have buckets of brass in your reloading hoard, if some dunce tossed a AA battery into a five gallon bucket of 38 specials, it can wreck a lot of cases that touched the battery or what leaked out of it. I wasn't that dunce but I got to enjoy the fruits of his labor when I sorted the good from the corroded cases in that bucket.

Leaking batteries are nasty.

Yessirree. If it is not in use, remove the batteries.
