Ballistics High Speed accident.

Post by Tycer »

I’ve enjoyed the Ballistics High Speed videos on YouTube.
Recently aired was one on rocket launchers. One failed and badly injured Adam. They’re asking for donations. https://fundthefirst.com/campaign/help- ... deo-gyyzrd

So my takeaway is that he wasn’t using military grade munitions and the manufacturer got it wrong. All of us who reload understand the importance of proper loading procedures. Apparently rhe manufacturer didn’t fire the hundreds of rounds munitions manufacturers do before allowing a human anywhere near the launcher.

While I don’t personally like the expression, FAFO seems to apply. I hope he recovers well and quickly. Perhaps he and others learn military grade rocket launchers aren’t toys.

Wow. Glad he is expected to recover. Ian McCollum had a gun blow up on him a while back on Forgotten Weapons.

My takeaway is that, yep... it's all fun & games until someone gets hurt. Pushing the envelope sometimes has dire consequences. Military grade weapons are not necessarily safe... as by gov't fiat, they're built by the low bidder!

They really need to read more Army Ground Accident Reports or QASAS reports regarding ammunition issues. However, I think that was a foreign rocket and not US. Somethings shouldn't be played with even by those that might consider themselves SAFE or even an EXPERT.
