See this little star?

Post by JimT »

We call it "the sun" ...it "rises" every morning at a set time, and it "sets" every evening with mathematical precision. It lights our world, warms it, controls the weather and is the perfect distance away. If it were a bit closer earth would not be habitable. If it were a bit further away earth would not be habitable. This star affects a number of things, some of which I am sure we still have to discover.

Not all that long ago people thought the sun rotated around the earth. Anyone who said the earth rotated around the sun ran the danger of being put to death as a heretic. Just as those people thought the earth was the center of the solar system, some today still think that humans are and that they can affect the weather and climate.

This little star was set there, in the perfect place with earth the perfect distance for a reason. It did not happen by accident. And it is still doing its job.

Reminds me - a friends son recently went on a school excursion to an observatory. He was like “I dunno why they bothered, there’s a big star they can see all day” :D

Gotta love Gods blessings each day

Aha! Can you see the three of them singing "this little light of mine, we're gonna let it shine!" Always wondered where that song came from. :D  :D
