25 Caliber Combos
You guys are more knowledgeable than I am so I found these two guns in my vault and one is marked 25-20 W.C.F. and the other is marked “25 A.C.P.” I think the pistol is a Colt and the Rifle is marked “Winchester Model 53”. It has some funny looking lever that you can make the gun in two pieces…never did it, I’m scared…….it too has this weird looking stick behind the hammer.
Re: 25 Caliber Combos
It's always interesting to see what folks have and what they use. I appreciate you sharing some of the nice old pieces you have acquired over the years, Jack. Thank you.
Re: 25 Caliber Combos
Nice to see mint guns. I killed a few deer from a kayak with a Winchester Model 92 25-20 and hated it for making meat . . . but it was an old saddle gun that I should have kept...

Thank you Jim…….it’s not often I get complimented …….I have no idea why……….you should see the stuff over at the Colt forum……makes my stuff look like examples of guns at buy back programs…
Re: 25 Caliber Combos
I would send more nice compliments if you would post a photo of your Rossi .357 or your Bersa 380.
Seriously, you have spent a lot of your life collecting some really nice firearms. And thanks to my Dad I have been in the company of men who had some great collections so I understand a little of what goes into that.

Gawd Six what beautiful wood you have.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres
250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!

I can understand that…the 14.5 carbines are the hardest to get…I’ve had rifles in 44 and 38 but never even saw a carbine…….3leggedturtle wrote: ↑Sat Aug 19, 2023 1:39 am 6 change subject, ut had a chance at 2 Remington 14 1/2 carbines in 38wcf at $8 n $850, aaarrggh charlie brown.
