.22 Combo!
IMG_5748.JPG
Savage .22 LR (I cut this one down) and an Old Model Ruger Single Six.

i am thinking about buying a .22 Magnum cylinder for it. Then it would make a good combo with my Ruger American .22 Magnum Rifle. The Borchardt Rifle Co. sells .22 Mag cylinders for around $100. They look good.

No. Just either your best rifle and handgun ... or the worst. Your choice.

I'll be the first to admit these two don't make a convincing pair but I like 'em, and they work great.

Thanks, Jim! I've never owned a .22 single action revolver. That needs to change.

Geeze Jim…..you get aaaalllll of the neat stuff…those 10-22’s will shoot till the cows come home and beings that your a country guy like me, we know the cows don’t come home after they made it through the fence.

I figured that a .22 needs help so I posted two .22 revolvers, both identical Flat Gates from the middle fifties along with some rifle that Winchester made, called a Model 61……..don’t know nothing about it and that’s the reason it’s still unfired from 1946.🤣. 🤪

As promised! :D

The Marlin is a classic "slim stock" Golden 39A Mountie. It belonged to my Dad, so is at least 45-50 years old (I need to find out exactly how old).

The old model Ruger Single Six I bought used in 1994 or so. It was made in 1966. I have the .22 Magnum cylinder for it as well. :D The buffalo horn grips on it were literally put on yesterday. I got a new-to-me used blued ROA the last weekend, and started swapping out grips, changing three in all. :D Not sure if I will keep these on the Ruger; I usually prefer some contrast with my grips to the finish.
