It's Mine!!

Post by jfwlb »

I saw an ad online from another poster here about a colt saa in 22lr and 22mag not too long ago that piqued my interest.

I had been looking for a single-six for a while and this seemed to fit the billl. I found out today that I won the auction and the revolver is mine pending the state mandated ten-day waiting period. I am really excited to get this revolver home and do some range reports for you guys.

Thanks to whoever you are about alerting me to this auction.

  I found one in Iowa several years ago... the old boy had a 1924 mfgd Winchester 1894 rifle OCFM in .30WCF and a Colt 4-¾" .22, wanted $250 for each, I only had $225... "your choice", he said... stupid me.

Ok,

That is one sweet revolver!

I'm on Orange County, let me know if you need help pulling the trigger.

Really nice gun, good pickup! I have the adjustable sighted version, the New Frontier, and I wouldn't trade it for 3 Single-Sixes.

Bonus points for spelling "piqued" correctly.

Nice gun! I had one of those when I was a kid. Wish I still had it.

Thanks for all the nice comments, guys. I almost didn't get. Somebody tried to outbid me with about 5 minutes left on the auction. If I hadn't been watching I would be  about now.

Anybody know where I can pick up a pair of ivory grips for it? I found a couple of places on the 'net but the ivory looked more like mother of pearl to me. Does Colt make grips anymore? I didn't see any on their site.

bsaride, I'm just north of you maybe we can meet at a range and shoot sometime. I missed the Ca. get together.

BB, WooHoo! I got points!

John
Right now I'm sitting in front of a pile of 22s and have a ton of Win T22 std vel ammo.

I need to take out my 1946 Iver Johnson this weekend (will bring m52, M39 as well).

I'm thinking we could head over to the indoor range in Huntington Beach which would
most likely be half way for each of us. Would like to get my niece to go as well as she
just got her hunting license and need to see if she can shoot (she didn't make it last
weekend). I won't hold my breath with her as she is a busy 16yo.

If interested send a PM.
