Remembering my Dad today , Grandad , uncles ,and extended family that have served and passed on .
Thanks to all that have served past and present.

Dad died of pancreatic cancer at 59 ,feel sure was attributed to agent orange in Vietnam . he's been gone 16 years now sure miss him.

I have to say that I've gone from being spit on, cursed at, denigrated, to being thanked until I can't stand it! While I appreciate the thanks... I don't need it, I didn't do it to get any kind of thanks, I did it so I could afford college, and it worked. I enjoyed my time in the service so much that I came this close to making a career of it... a phone call home had my wife asking me to just come home and not re-up... She told me that she just wasn't cut out to be an officer's wife... Nor was I really cut out to be an officer, but I was willing to fake it for a while! She talked me out of it!

Ignore the rant. Thank you for your thanks. Thanks to all those that served or supported those of us that did! (Equally important)!
