Miroku receiver tapping
Considering the absolutely rediculous prices asked for original 1886 receivers these days, I am wondering if the Miroku ones can be tapped to accept standard 7/8" Winchester barrels. The metric threads are finer than the original Winchester threads, so maybe this would work. Just a thought. Most of the 1886 parts that I have looked at lately are rusted and pitted junk, with most going for nearly a thousand bucks.

Re: Miroku receiver tapping
Those prices might make rebuilding the Miroku receivers absolutely cost effective! Have you asked the "other" Mike, Mike Hunter?

I haven't phoned him, but thought that he might answer the post, Hobie.
