Bullets for Hawgs

Post by kmittleman »

Hi yall,

I've found that my new .30-30 likes the 170gr Winchester powerpoints. What do you guys think about using those on pigs?

I prefer the 170s over the 150s for pigs. Lately i've been loading cast 170 grainers but haven't had the chance to try them on game.

As many pigs as Ganjiro hunts, I think he should know what works. I haven't tried it on quite everything myself, but the 170 grain from a .30-30 will take anything native to North America, and some non-natives like pigs. Remember the posts a short while back on the .30-30? Have fun!
