I was wondering - does anyone offer a replacement centerfire breach block for a Remington #4 rolling block? Say if a person wanted to convert a 32RF to fire 32 Short and Long Colt. Or would you have to get a gunsmith convert the rimfire block to centerfire (and if this is the only route - any recommendations/idea on the price)?

Figured one of you knowledgable gentlemen might have the answers to my questions.

Re: OT - Rolling Block conversion questions...
Mine was converted via the simple expedient of drilling a second firing pin hole in the face of the breechblock (in the center, natch
), and - since it was to be a permanent conversion - the rimfire firing tip ground off the firing pin and a new tip welded in the center of the pin.
The new tip was made overlong, then shortened for the proper protrusion with it in the forrward/fired position.
Done.

Give Dave @ Lone Star riles a call:

Some opine that he makes a better Rolling Block than Remington ever did.

The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are just about done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....
