How to support Ukraine Directly

Hello friends, if you have been wondering about my silence on Ukraine, it is because I have been trying to keep in touch with my friends there, some I have known for many years now. So far, all but one in Kharkiv are accounted for and safe so far. My friends in Kyiv and Odessa I am particularly worried about going forward on top of my friend in Kharkiv.

If you wish to make a small donation to support Ukraine, the Ukrainian govt recently set up special accounts to do so directly and you can do so by following these links for either military or humanitarian relief using your Visa bank card in 30 seconds. If you don't want to support through the govt websites there is a 3rd site you can use for humanitarian relief. Even little amounts will help.

You can also write the White House directly here, but of course don't be foolish and keep it civil.

Thanks, Tutt. I have gone through the Rescue Committee — and back in 2014 for military medical supplies through an activist friend in Kyiv whom I trusted. I hope he and his wife are still alive.

No kidding. All of the European neighbors are standing there saying "it sucks to be you" to Ukraine.
I do not understand how and why the U.S. isn't sending long range artillery and surface to surface missiles to the Ukrainian Army.
Also, imagining what a few squadrons of A-10 Warthogs could do over there.

We have far more leverage with China than China has with us (US). China sanctions from the US could ruin China's economy. By far the vast majority of Chinese exported goods come to the US, and without our income they would see the first recession they had in many decades.
So if our administration is smart they wont bow down to China, and instead threaten to block Chinese imports to the US if China gets involved with Russia and that jerk Putin.

Back in the early 70's the U.S. always had a US Navy ship anchored in Kaoshiung harbor (in Taiwan) in case the Chinese ever attacked Taiwan.
I was told this was (and maybe still is) done so that any attack by Communist China would likely hit our ship, thus giving the U S. the needed leverage to shoot back.
The ship commonly used was a destroyer tender.

Sadly Ukraine is not a NATO member, although they've had every opportunity to do so

NATO or not......as far as I'm concerned putin broke all rules by targeting civilians along with leveling their country and infrastructure.

I thought this style of warfare ended with ww2.....word has it that many members of congress from both sides are getting very rich with what's going on with Pelosi in the lead....their personal enrichment and money for their agenda is more important than millions of people being displaced, killed, and traumatized.

We need to send a message.....maybe start with the A-10's working on the Russian supply lines.

Somebody needs to put a plastic bag over Kamala Harris's head and tie a square knot.

BTT They need help now more than ever in Eastern Ukraine. My friends in Odesa were shelled last Friday, Kyiv is calm for the moment. 50% of Ukrainian territory is mined. They are working on it. -Tutt

My friend Yulya and her baby girl and parents fled Kramatorsk (south of Donbas and recent war crime when Russia bombed the train station there) went into Slovakia and are currently in Austria. The Austrian government does give them some money but it is not enough to live off. They are looking at what other countries they can go to. I don't really know anyone else out in the East well, just glad they got out when they did. -Tutt
