A Great Tip to REDUCE STRESS...

Post by Old No7 »

On the heels of my posting on the "heart attack scare" posting below...

One great tip I just learned * to help REDUCE STRESS is this...........

--> Replace the first letter of your Bucket List with an "F"

I have a bucket list for personal goals; and now, I have one for "work related issues" -- and I'm using this tip especially on that list.

If I didn't cause it, if I can't control it, if I didn't want it to happen but it did -- Just change the "B" to "F" and move on.

No use in sweating it out or getting all stressed about it. So far, it seems to be working out OK.

Old No7

* Kudos' to Jerry Seinfeld -- Changing the B to an F is a joke from his standup routine.

Add to that .. MONITOR YOUR NEWS INTAKE. Almost all of it is designed around fear and involves things that we have no control over. The more you cut it out of your diet the less stress you have.

As a retired newspaper journalist I cannot wean myself off of Reuters and BBC. And yes, this morning's news is incredibly stressful.

Amen to that, brother!

Modern news is designed to hype us all up, and it's doing a great job.
And most of it is not all that accurate - it's biased, spun, and in some cases
it's outright lies.

And now I'm at the beginning of an Old fanny burp Rant, can feel my blood pressure rising, etc.. :o

So I'll calm down now and go do something else...... :D

No wonder I've been feeling so good, I've not watched 3 hours of 'news' since the outrageous stolen election.

News intake? Yea....some......most people are stressed because they let themselves get addicted to credit cards thinking they will always be healthy with no problems but life is full of problems........so they are forced to kiss you know what and put up with the 20 mile drive in traffic to pay for all that stuff that's not needed so they can brag, "we just got a $5,000 TV"......and then the car breaks down......a fight with a loved one....anything that life is full of....

MONEY, or lack of, is what causes real stress and people redirect the causes of stress to other things, like the news. :D

My solution is to live small, drive junk, no liquor, and have a "KEEP OUT!" sign at the end of the driveway.....oh! and buy good guns, no foreign junk....stay within your limits and financially sound and everything else can be taken with a grain of salt.....after all, isn't that what Hollywood people do?....they think nothing of going through 5 divorces. :D ----006

I figured out long ago if you are bothered by stress, you do not have enough eustress in your life. Do not dwell on the stressful dwell on the eustressful.

I'm with Pitchy, try to get enough to get a real picture, then quit for a good while! Lord we are so blessed to be on this side of the world! And for sure pray for so many our leaders that are blind! John Kerry said amidst all this madness, and suffering. His biggest concern was it would take everyone's focus off of the climate change plans!
He needs a soft spot on Mars to lay down on!
I can't stand to think of what my comments of Biden would be!
