I did a 48 hour clear liquid diet in preparation for stomach surgery tomorrow.......and they canceled the danged surgery 🤬🤬🤬, 12 hours before it was to happen. Now, I have to do it all over again next week ☠

Boy, that sure did suck.....twice as much if one was prepping for a colonoscopy and it was canceled after the "cleanout".
Sorry to hear.....I do believe you should get an extra punch in your man card.

Yep....That sucks bigtime..
Just last week I went thru the prep for a nuclear stress test, that took two months to get, showed up, and they said to come back in about two weeks.
Medical people are so darn cavalier with other people's time, yet they will raise hell and charge you if you miss an appointment. :evil:

Sorry you are having surgery, but since we as a society tend to over eat, a fasting diet once in a while may prove beneficial. Wishing you the best for your surgery.!

Apparently the specialty equipment they use has a Rep who is REQUIRED to be present whenever it is in use and she decided to take a 3 day weekend.

Good luck with it all. Those cleanouts can leave you sore where you sit. Diaper rash cream may help.

I have had two done. the cleanout liquid sure is nasty. I didn't know about pills instead till too late, i will do pills next time. i hear you take two and then later take the last one, the last one is when the volcano erupts!!!!!!!!!! :roll:

When it comes to colonoscopies, I'll take that foul magnesium citrate over the old protocol of water, water water and then Fleet's enemas. Don't ask me how I know. :shock:

I recently had my first colonoscopy just last week.
The fasting really didn't bother me much.
Drinking that crappy tasting powdered laxative was gross!
I think I drank 5 gallons of water in two days.
Afterwords the nurse brought me coffee and an English muffin.
The doctor keeps asking me if I want to go to dinner!
He has a yacht in the Keys, so I'm considering it!
I wonder if I could bring my wife.
Just kidding!

I had my actual appointment yesterday but still didnt get the surgery. Once they got the scope into my throat they found some "anomolies" in the tissue and sent off a biopsy
