Re: 1951 94
Cool!
I have one that my dad gave me for my 50th birthday. He bought it around 1960 or so, dates to 1954 if I remember right. It hasn't had a lot of use, and I haven't spent much time reloading for it. Probably should do something about that.

30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Excellent, mine is nearly the same vintage.

Hard to beat a well tuned and well taken care of M94!
Blaine: good shooting; very good shooting! I envy you for being able to see and use barrel sights and still hit the target

The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are just about done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....

That was at least ten years ago....I doubt my eyes would be that flexible these days.... Peeps and ghost rings are still ok. Red dots even better.Ray Newman wrote: ↑Fri Oct 29, 2021 12:39 pm Hard to beat a well tuned and well taken care of M94!

put them in a nice group, then i started on one with with barrel sights, that would not score very well

Re: 1951 94
There's nothing like a pre 64 Winchester 94!
Re: 1951 94
i wouldn't say that. comparing the two targets, i'd say they're about the same, you are twice as far away, same same.
hard to outshoot my kids tho
