Zinc Bullet Casting

Post by Ben_Rumson »

I want to try casting some Zinc bullets.. ZAMAK No. 3 alloy is supposed to be best suited & maybe the cheapest alloy... but I see Zinc Anodes can be easier to obtain in smaller quantities than ZAMAK No. 3 alloy.. My question to the board is: Anyone know what the composition of Zinc Anode alloy might be? Casting qualinties compared to ZAMAK 3 alloy?

I have no idea but you might look around over here: http://www.castboolits.gunloads.com/ The subject of casting with zinc has come up a number of times.

Maybe someone will come along with more information than I have.

Luck!
