OT- Picked up a new holster for SAA.

This is a new holster for my Colt SAA in 32-20. I carry it sometimes with a Winchester Model 53 in 32-20. It's a bit flashy, but at 63 I need a little flash in my life. It was made by W.B. Brown.

That is a good looking rig, should carry good in the saddle or walking.

Nice rig Rangerider7. Looking at your avatar pic and knowing your love of Colt SAA's and levers, do you ride? Horses that is.

I've come to the conclusion I need to either make or buy some cross draws for riding my horses. Even though most of my rigs are short barreled. I do have some that aren't, like my FA 83 w/7.5". Crossdraws, IMO, keep the longer barreled revolvers out of the way while riding.

kimwcook, I used to ride don't get much opportunity nowdays. Horses are like boats to me. Unless you use them often and take good care of them they are very expensive to have. My horse now is a Polaris Ranger. It's pretty easy on gas and no shots, but they do make a lot more noise. You can't be as personal with a UTV as a horse. I miss that. Even in the Ranger, a long barrel SAA needs to be in a cross draw. take a look at Rod Kibler of Alto Ga. http://www.rodkiblersaddlery.com/mounted.html he makes some stout holsters for the mounted rider.

Good lookin rig there. I have an EP Saddlery belt very similar to that - only mine's got 12 guage loops to the left - CAS rig. Only looks like your's is a money belt.

Here's a pic of mine with my 95 Win before I installed the Lyman aperture sight:
