If you know anything about Farming, you probably know about the John Deere museum in Moline.

But what you probably DIDN'T know about is one of the most drool worthy, head banging, heart wrenching places in the Country is also in Moline: Rock Island Auctions.

I was over there today to have a couple of things appraised for possible auction. O... M... G...

Imagine a Gun Show where 90% of the guns are pre 1930. Simply amazing all the fine weapons being photographed, stored, shipped, appraised, etc. It's even better than the NRA museum because almost nothing is behind glass. You can BREATHE these guns.

If you show up someone will walk you around if they're not too busy. I could have stayed a week.

Go and visit and you will walk away absolutely sick with unrequited lust.

Go and vist on Auction Preview Days and it's even more radical as things are laid out "pretty".

Just go and visit.

Quit tempting me,
I just made the decision on my next purchase.

BTW there is a small auction house about 3 miles from me,
haven't been in there for awhile but IIRC there are about 6
glass cases for handguns and at least 20 rifle racks in the
front room. There is also another room about half the size.

It's here in Orange County (near Mainplace Mall) and I can look
it up if need be for the other local members.
