OT Not a lever, but I just had to share.

Post by JP_TX »

I bought a .358 win in a Ruger Hawkeye, blue/walnut about a week ago and am looking forward to getting it about as you might expect.

While I have been waiting I have been doing the due diligence thing any compulsive hand loader does when he buys a nearly orphaned rifle caliber, I buy brass and dies etc. I figured I would get a couple of 100 308 cases and expand them out to .358 ala Paco.

"But wait theres more" lol

Well just now I hit a small jackpot on Gunbroker..

"358 BRASS, BULLETS,DIES, 342 ROUNDS OF 1 TIME FIRED BRASS AND 50 ROUNDS OF NEW UNPRIMED BRASS 24 WINCHESTER FACTORY SHELLS 1 FULL BOX AND 4 IN THE ORTHER BOX , HORNDAYS DIES AND 1 BOX OF 100 BULLETS 15.00 SHIPPING NO RESERVE GOOD LUCK"

All for $155. bucks. I'm nearly as stoked as when I closed on the gun. It is going to be a fun summer.

I think I will buy a lottery ticket on the way home.

I also got a Hawkeye in .358 Winchester, only mine is stainless and synthetic. I really like mine, wouldn't part with it for anything. I load Barnes X-Bullets 200gr.
