It had been raining most of the day yesterday and the range was pretty soaked already, so shooting was offhand at 25 yrds. The Marlin was up first, Windage is dead on with some nice groups of factory 158 Gr JSPs and some lead flat points, grouped well, but several inches low. With a 6:00 hold on the bullseye, POI was just off the bottom of the target. You can see one at the very bottom edge. Plinked around with some .38 Spls. This thing fed everything I ran through it, including semi and FULL wad cutters! I think the boys at Marlin have gotten thier early issues resolved.

The TRR8 is an absolute blast! It's pretty snappy with the factory 158 JSPs but not unpleasant. I didn't like the feel of the factory grips and just happened to have a set of nice, fat round but stag grips not currently doing anything. They look a bit out of place on the matte finished revolver, but they fit my hand perfectly. It's an absolute pleasure to shoot with .38 Spls and at 25 yds no bowling pin was safe. The flyers on the right and left were my fault. This thing will shoot better than I can.

The approaching thunder and lightning were getting a bit violent so I packed up and headed for the truck. The following monsoon started just as I was getting back to the truck.
Can't wait to spend a few hours with these two. The Marlin seems to be screaming for a scout scope rail and a Leopold. Haven't decided on that one yet.
