OT - Bit of Irony for VN Vets...

Post by don Tomás »

Last year when we went to Lackland AFB to see my youngest graduate USAF BMT, the family bought me this cap at the BX (I was assigned to a combat air crew in the late '60s)...

Here's a photo of me in the cap (looking quite stud-ly I might add!) with my youngest...

When we went into a pizza place on base to get a bite to eat, I uncovered and found this tag in the hat. I guess we've come full circle???

Good Grief!

Great hat and photo Don Tomas'. Ironic indeed. My Dad was Air Force in Danang from 72-73. Thank you for your service!

Congratulations to your son, and to you for raising an American patriot!!

I saw one of those hats about 6 months ago or so, didnt know whether to laugh or cry. Wound up not buying it, probably should have, 40 years is a long time.
