Planning a little trip

Post by jnyork »

Saving up my pennies for a two-day little trip up to Cody for the wife to get in a round of golf and for a tour of the museum, which I have not done in about 10 years. Check out a couple of gun shops, have a nice meal or two. Gotta get it done before the thundering hoards of tourists get too thick.

We don't give a hoot for going to the park, but might make the loop over the pass if we get time and the weather is good.

Mixed. VERY mixed. From beautiful 70 degree sunny days to driving rain to raging blizzard. Sometimes all in one day. Be prepared for anything. After all, it IS Springtime in the Rockies. :D

Hey, Brad, you need to get up there. The Firearms Museum alone is worth a 500 mile drive.

We were there in May back in 2007 and had great weather. There was snow up high but down at the lower elevations it was nice. We stayed in Powell with friends that had horses. They took my daughter and me out on some very nice rides. Went to the park and it was pretty empty, I think some of the park roads were still closed from snow. Enjoyed the museum and horse rides more than the park though. I want to go back for an antelope hunt some day.
